What is the BCA?
In 2001 the Buckerell Community Association was set up to make plans for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and it continues today to plan and organize a variety of events that run throughout the year. It’s a villagers group run by the village for the village. Events are for all residents, their families and friends to enjoy.
Who is the BCA?
All residents of Buckerell are automatically members of the BCA. Members elect a (volunteer) Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and Vice-chairman each year. The current officials are;
Soo Sims | Chair |
Roy Williams | Treasurer |
Barbara Hook | Secretary |
How does it function?
Those present at meetings come along with ideas to share and discuss. People then volunteer (in smaller groups) to help organise the agreed events.
Where does the BCA meet?
Meetings are held every 2 to 3 months in Doug’s Shed, usually on a Thursday, starting at 7.00 p.m. and usually lasting 1 to 1½ hours.
