Buckerell is a small village in East Devon set between the Blackdown Hills and the Otter Valley. It is around 2 miles from Honiton, 8 miles from the World famous Jurassic Coast and 17 miles from the Cathedral City of Exeter.

It falls within Honiton Deanery (from 1st December 2006) for ecclesiastical purposes. The Deaneries are used to arrange the typescript Church Notes of B.F.Cresswell, which are held in the Westcountry Studies Library.
